Galatians 1: 1-10
“Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
Galatians 1:1-10 KJV
This is the letter that Paul wrote to the people of Galatians
1 Corinthians 1: 2
“Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:”
1 Corinthians 1:2 KJV
People all say that my church is the church of God but what does the bible say that the church of God is? Are you holy? The church is the gathering of the sanctified. The church building is the temple we worship in but the church teh bible speaks of is those that gather and are sanctified. Are the people that gather there holy or not? They are holy. SO if you go to a church and are not holy then you are not going to the church of God. If you are not yet sanctified then you are not going to a church of God.
So do the sanctified not commit sins? Yes they do but why are they sanctified? They are sanctified because Jesus says we are washed from all our sins and are sanctified. God says that the blood of Jesus washed our sins away forever. What does the Bible testify about this? The bible says we have been washed of our sins forever. So, what do you believe in? Do you believe in the thought that you are a sinner or do you believe that you are holy? The church of God believes that they are holy. Not saying they do not commit sins but saying that even though they commit sins that these sins are already forgiven by the blood of Jesus.
So, if someone continually asks forgiveness for the sins that they commit then they do not believe that the blood of Jesus as already forgiven them of that sin. Satan is so deceitful and he tricks people into believing that they have to continually ask forgiveness for the sins they commit. Is our power greater than the power of God? Not at all so why do you believe in your thought that is different than the word of God? Once we believe that our sins are washed then God says that he will give us the Holy Spirit. And having this spirit makes us as holy as God himself. That is why the people of the church of God are holy.
The biggest difference between the church of God and not the church of God is whether the people are sanctified or not. It may not seem like a big deal but it is the difference between believing in the word of God.
“Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)”
Galatians 1:1 KJV
Paul became a apostle of God because God appointed him. There are those that are appointed by God and then there are those that are appointed by man. The world of God is not by the knowledge or experience of the world but is done by God himself. And also believing in God comes by God and only God. Nothing of the world can make this happen. Just because we try to live a spiritual life on our own does not mean that we can. The life of a Christian is a life that is led by God.
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:”
Galatians 1:6 KJV
What is the other gospel that the bible speaks of? Grace does not include any of our own work. The grace of Christ done by God was only done by God and has nothing of man in it, not even the lowest percent possible.
What does the bible say about the will of God? It says that the will of God is for us to be sanctified. Can sinners go to heaven? No, so there are no sinners in heaven. Only the holy and sanctified can go to heaven. God wanted to sanctify everyone in this world so that is why he sent Jesus so the blood of Jesus could make us holy. Our sanctification is not up to our own efforts. If it was possible for us to sanctify ourselves then God would not have had to send Jesus to sanctify us.
Jesus came to fulfill the world of God and sanctify us. (John 6)
Our sanctification has nothing to do with how we live. What was the last words that Jesus said as he died on the cross? He said, “It is finished”
“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Hebrews 10:10 KJV
Did the sanctification we received through the grace of God include any of our efforts? No, none, never! And this is what God has done through Jesus for us. And by the faith we have in this we receive salvation.
If we go the opposite way of grace then where do we go? We go back towards our own efforts. So many times after people receive salvation people go back to their own works. We do not have to be diligent and kind to receive the blessings but everything that we receive from God is given to us by grace. God does not look at our own works, or how we live. All the sins that we commit in this world are
“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;”
Jeremiah 17:1 KJV
If God wants to look at our sins he will look at the horns of the alter in heaven. But where to we look at our sins? We look at our own selves and our own thoughts. But for God to not remember the sins what happened? Jesus died on the cross and with his blood it covered the horns of the altar in heaven so that our sins are covered.
Hebrews 9: 11-12
“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
Hebrews 9:11-12 KJV
God showed Moses the tabernacle that was in heaven and Moses made a miniature of this tabernacle and this tabernacle was used to was the sins of man. And at this time to wash one sin a lamb must be killed and the blood placed on the horns of the altar. But in these verses above Jesus died as the sin offering to cover the greater and more perfect tabernacle which was in heaven with his blood. And the blood of Jesus was placed on the horns of the altar of the tabernacle that was in heaven and washed away our sins forever.
Isaiah 44: 22
“I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.”
Isaiah 44:22 KJV
To blot out means to paint over. We paint over our walls to cover the mess that is there and make them look fresh and new. Jesus died on the cross so that we could be sanctified. God already had the plans in his heart to paint over the horns of the altar on the tabernacle in heaven. So instead of God seeing my sin he sees the blood on the horns of the altar in heaven and does not see our sin anymore.
Hebrews 10: 16
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;”
Hebrews 10:16 KJV
So the blood of Jesus washed away our sins. What do people do though? They remember the sins that are written in their heart. So what does God say?
Hebrews 10: 17
“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”
Hebrews 10:17 KJV
God has erased our sins on the horns of the altar and God tells us that he does not remember any of our sins. What does God tell us? He tells us to erase the sins that are on the tablets of our hearts. How can we remove the sins that are on the tablets of our heart? We do this by having faith in the word of God and believing that Jesus did indeed make us holy. When we believe that God does not see our sin and that we are holy this is when we receive salvation.
God says he does not remember our sins anymore but does he say that we should remember our sins? No, he wants us to forget our sins as well. But when people do not believe the word of God they say I have committed this much sin so how can I say that I have no sin. How can people say that they have sin? It is because they do not believe and accept the word that God has done through Jesus and this in turn reveals that these people do not believe in Jesus.
Although God has perfectly washed our sins through Jesus people still do not believe this. But God has washed our sins through Jesus and when we believe this then we receive the grace God has given us through Jesus.
The church of Galatia has received the word of God by grace but they have begun to lose it and go back to their own works. They are looking at themselves and their own efforts. They have left grace and have started to believe in their own efforts. If you believe in the grace of God and accept this grace then you believe what Jesus has done and know that you do not have to do anything to receive the grace of God.
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”
Galatians 1:6-7 KJV
The other gospel is when we try to rely upon our own works and efforts. But even when we try to do this the blood of Jesus has still washed us clean of all our sins.
2 Corinthians 5: 17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
How do you get inside of Christ? When people stand outside they feel cold but when they are inside they are warm. There are those that stand inside of Christ and those that stand outside of Christ. In the days of Noah in Genesis 6 he built an ark and listened to the word of God and warned people that when the rain comes to the earth that all the people would die but if they got inside the ark then they would live. Noah told people to get inside the ark but the people did not listen. And when Noah got into the ark and the door was closed there were clean an unclean animals in the ark. But no matter if they are clean or unclean did not matter. the only thing that mattered is that they were inside of the ark. The ark represents Jesus. It does not matter if you have a lot of money or not, but if you are inside of Christ this is all that you need to receive the blessing of God.
What makes the difference between those that are inside of Christ and those that are not?
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1 KJV
The difference is that there is no condemnation to those that are inside of Christ. Many people condemn others and accuse them of many things but does this matter if they are inside of Christ? No it does not because they are forgiven of their sins and no need worry about the condemnation that people attempt to put on other people. This is because the blood of Jesus defeats the condemnation. No condemnation can ever come to our heart when we are inside of Christ. Those who are outside of Christ are being condemned and the difference is that they hold this condemnation in their heart and suffer from the sin they commit. But the blood of Jesus has freed us from this condemnation and we need be inside of Christ so the condemnation will not effect our heart.
What kind of heart do you have? Is your heart free from condemnation and inside of Christ? Or are you outside of Christ and held to the condemnation of our heart? We must be inside of Christ where we have received the grace of God and are free from sin, holy and have the Holy Spirit. God does not look at us but he looks at Jesus and when we are inside of Jesus he tells us that we are a new creation. When we believe in this word then there is so much power in this word. This word says that old things have passed away and we are a new creation. God is telling us to believe the word. So, God says that in the blood of Jesus our sins have been washed away. So, just because we commit sins in the future do we come back and say that we are a sinner? NO, this is wrong and goes against the word of God. Satan will try to deceive you and make you look at your own works. But when we do not believe in the thoughts of our heart then we can see that we are a new creation and are inside of Christ.
People try to do things on their own and these are the people that have departed from grace. It is not about you trying to change your own works. But it is about you believing in the works of God and what God did for us. Do not try to change your own works but believe in the word of God and what he did for us and that is it.
Are you inside of Christ or are you outside of Christ?
If you are outside of Christ then you need to hear the gospel and come to Christ and come inside of Jesus so that you can receive the grace that God has given to us through the blood of Jesus. And God will lead you to live a different life that is inside of Christ and free from the deception of Satan.
